Triodos Facet considers training and capacity building essential for SME development. There are a few distinct areas where we develop, design and implement training programmes:

Entrepreneurship development and SME management training
Supporting entrepreneurs is the corner stone of our work. SME sector development is determined by the quality of entrepreneurship. In our entrepreneurial development programmes training in entrepreneurship is given special attention. Integrating entrepreneurship development training programme in the formal education is strongly advocated and supported by triodos Facet. We undertake such assignments in for instance Tanzania and Indonesia.

For SME support organisations we develop SME management training programmes. Often such programmes are part of more comprehensive BDS programmes

Training for SME financing
Triodos Facet also organises tailor-made training programmes on SME finance. Those can be developed for loan officers, credit analyst, micro lending staff, portfolio analysts, bank managers and financial consultants. Whenever possible these programmes include field visits and on-the-job training.

Triodos Facet offers a complete package of training programmes in SME financing for financial institutions and Microfinance organisations. Those programmes are relevant if you want to run a specific training for your staff but more importantly they can be adopted by Bank Training Institutes and incorporated in their regular training programmes. Triodos Facet designs the programmes and curriculum and offers the related training of trainers courses.
