The EMN has opened a permanent online help-desk to provide answers to questions posed (in English, French, Spanish and German) related to microfinance in Europe.

By the end of 2011, the EMN will also organise six specialised microcredit workshops to provide information about and encourage good practice in microfinance in the European Union. The subject matter of the six workshops will be:

• The EC Code of Good Conduct (6 September in Krakow, Poland - click here for more information)
• Strategic planning and the sustainability of microfinance intermediaries (15 September in Berlin, Germany – click here for more information)
• Management information systems
• Reporting standards: financial and social performance
• The emergence of a European model for microfinance
• Risk management

Both of these services (part of the EU funded “JASMINE Microfinance Development Services”), the helpdesk and the workshops, will be open to all - individuals, microentrepreneurs, microenterprises and other people and organisations interested in microfinance in the European Union.
