Do Entrepreneurs need support? The myths and merits of entrepreneurship education and business creation.
On 29 & 30 October the successful international Entrepreneurship Development Conference took place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Over 170 participants attended the conference, representing more than 20 nations across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Triodos Facet initiated the eD2009 Conference together with Spark and InHolland, since we believe that much is to be learnt from entrepreneurship development programmes in all parts of the world. Whether these are conducted in developing, transitional or developed countries; it is the entrepreneur who is challenged daily.
Goal of the conference was to
1) share knowledge and experiences,
2) network, and
3) learn about new opportunities and possible solutions.
The programme had a diverse character and was held at different locations (InHolland Rotterdam and the Creative Factory; a creative business incubator) to stimulate participants to become entrepreneurial.
