SNV (Dutch development organisation) builds the capacity of local intermediary organisations that serve the entrepreneurial poor. Triodos Facet evaluated the efficiency, effectiveness and relevance of capacity building services undertaken in the 'Market access for the poor' (MAP) SNV programmes in West Africa.

This evaluation is a result measurement exercise and covers four cases from four countries, being Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin and Ghana and an assessment of the client selection process based on interviews with 12 clients and their SNV advisers in Ghana and Burkina Faso.
