Establishment of a Technology and Business Incubation Facility. |
|
The Kigali Institute of Science, Technology and Management (KIST) was established by the Government of Rwanda in 1997, with a mission to provide advanced training in science, engineering, technology and management. After the 1994 genocide, Rwanda faced an acute shortage of scientific, technical and managerial manpower in almost all fields. KIST therefore aimed to establish a fully fledged and economically viable Technology and Business Incubation Facility (TBIF). Triodos Facet was contracted to provide technical assistance to the establishment of this facility.
