Triodos Facet assists Micro Credit Company Bai Tushum Financial Fund, one of Kyrgyzstan’s leading microfinance institutions (loan portfolio of US$ 20 million), in the transformation process to become a supervised and regulated financial institution. Triodos Facet provides technical assistance.

The picture shows Mr. Kadyrov Maksy, a shepherd from Jarkorgon village, Nookat region in the south of Kyrgyzstan, who died in January 2008 at the age of 77 years. He was engaged in farming during his whole life.
Mr. Kadyrov Maksy obtained his first loan from Bai Tushum in 1999, and was a client of this institution till his death. The obtained micro credits were used for the development of livestock, consisting of cows, horses and sheep flocks.

On Friday 2 October 2009 Triodos Facet consultant Anna Semenova (right) made a small presentation (in Russian) to Gulnara Shamshieva (left) and management team about the results of our work during the 2nd mission. They also discussed what has to be done in BT between missions and our plans for the 3d mission.
Mrs. Semenova offered Bai Tushum a plaque to congratulate Bai Tushum & Partners for obtaining a license as Micro Finance Company.
