Project formulation, technical and strategic backstopping (Financial Services).
The overall objective of the project is to provide Technical Assistance to the Micro Finance sector in Pakistan, to improve retail level delivery of Micro Finance (MF) services. Based on the situation of the Pakistan MF sector, where there is an abundance of funding, but a severe problem of retail level delivery capacity Triodos Facet was invited to formulate an SDC supported intervention for MF sector strengthening. The Triodos Facet approach chosen (and adopted by SDC) is based on a combination of BDS market development approaches, with professional TA provision to MF institutions in Pakistan. The essential role of the project is to provide: Low threshold quick access to local (and international) TA services for the MF sector in Pakistan.
