Indonesian Polytechnics Entrepreneurial Skills Development Project (ESDP) |
|
In Indonesia, as in many other developing countries, youth unemployment is a prevailing problem. The Asosiasi Politeknik Indonesia (ASPI), the Association of Polytechnics in Indonesia, has 26 state polytechnics as its current members. The polytechnics have the mandate to deliver skilled vocational workers for the Indonesian labour market. ASPI aims to tackle this youth unemployment by improving the employability of currently enrolled students and the around 10,000 graduates of its polytechnic members. To this end, ASPI formulated the Indonesian Entrepreneurial Skills Development Project (ESDP). Triodos Facet was contracted in consortium with CINOP (Center for Education Innovation) and ITC-ILO (International Training Center of the ILO) to provide Technical Assistance to this project.
