The Savings and Micro Credit Program (SMCP) is an organisation under the umbrella of the Ministry of National Development providing micro credit and business development services to the less privileged population in Eritrea since 1996. SMCP seeks to transform into an autonomous organisation and ultimately wants to become an independent and regulated financial institution.
