What's in a name?
Triodos Facet, a consultancy company specialised in the promotion and development of Small and Medium Enterprises, that contribute to sustainable development.

We believe that enterprising people can make a difference in society. We offer consultancy services, are involved in the implementation of SME development programmes and projects and assist in the required capacity building. Based in the Netherlands, Triodos Facet plays a pivotal role in a global network of related SME consultancy companies. Every member of this group, as a facet of a larger gem, has acquired a wealth of expertise and knowledge over the past twenty years and has carried out assignments all over the world.

We do not believe in universal solutions: each situation, anywhere in the world, calls for a specific approach. We combine our global experience and adapt it continuously to the needs of different countries and regions. We think it is important to have a clear focus. We focus on entrepreneurs, people who set up and develop their businesses and contribute to sustainable development at large.

We combine our consultancy services with implementation and capacity building. This combination must lead to the creation of sustainable and decent work and income for those who wish to use their talents. To achieve our mission, we aim at linking entrepreneurs with the world of finance and business support services. Access to adequate and sustainable financial and non-financial services is essential, as well as effective functioning of the organisations rendering such services. Development is our goal; development driven by people. In all assignments entrusted to us, we try to find the delicate balance between commerce and compassion based on the principle that entrepreneurship can become a valuable element in society. That drives us. That is what we pursue. We carry out short term and long term assignments as long as they are related to SME development: evaluations, programme design, project formulation, assessment, training programme, impact studies, programme management. And we dare to think outside the box.
