SMEP is a middle-sized microfinance institution in Kenya with 15,000 clients and a country-wide branch network. The institution is supported by several donors among which USAID. USAID and DfID financed an institutional and financial appraisal of the institution together with an evaluation of the support USAID provided to the institution over the last few year. The study will assist the donor make decisions concerning further investments in the organisation and continuation of the technical assistance programme. |
