After the successful training held in January, we are pleased to announce the next training “Value Chain Finance” (VCFIN) in June developed by Triodos Facet, Hans Posthumus and MDF.
Value Chain concepts have become a crucial tool to approach rural economic development. However, understanding of the financial component of rural value chains remains a challenge for many practitioners, financiers and donors. This 3-days training is designed to give insights and necessary tools to understand and improve the financial access of an essential actor in rural value chains: smallholders.
Value Chain Finance (VCFIN)
How to improve smallholders’ access to finance? You will learn how to increase the creditworthiness of small holders using their position in the value chain, applying innovative sustainable financial instruments. MDF organises this course in collaboration with Triodos Facet and HPC. You are managing value chain development interventions and/or you are managing interventions in the field of financial services provision. You are a practitioner who is already familiar with the basic value chain and/or financial services concepts. (equal to the VCCON course)
