Geert Jan Schuite (1962) has an educational background in  Environmental Management and Engineering. At Triodos Facet he is a consultant for the Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) unit.

Previously, Geert Jan Schuite, an Environmental Engineer, worked as a Sustainability Research Analyst at Triodos Research in Zeist, The Netherlands. In a team with 12 colleagues he was involved in the production of Company Profiles, Sector Studies and Ratings. His most important clients were Investment Managers in Financial Institutions and Pension Funds. He has been coordinating the production of Triodos Bank’s Annual Reports since 2001, implementing the Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Geert Jan Schuite has a working experience of over 20 years, both in (governmental-) auditing and strategic environmental consultancy.

Project Leader ‘Transparency in Sustainability and Finance’. Sustainability coaching of MFI’s in Mongolia, Cambodia, India, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Nicaragua. Development of ‘Virtual Working Group’ tools and methodology. Participant of CGAP Taskforce and Dutch Working Group on social and environmental reporting and rating in the microfinance sector. Development of training materials and ‘Social and Environmental Field Guide for Loan Officers’.
