Biography Arjan Visser (1969) has extensive experience in the South-Eastern European region as consultant dealing with climate mitigation projects (including renewable energy such as wind, solar PV and thermal, biomass, geothermal and energy efficiency for buildings). He has served utilities, investors, project developers, NGOs and financial institutions in assessing the risks for investing in CO2 emission reduction projects, thru stakeholder dialogues. He worked for local, national and international authorities including the EBRD (credit line for energy efficiency and renewable energy in Slovakia). Arjan has worked on the dissemination of information regarding clean tech to consumers. He researched, initiated, identified and realised demonstration projects for solar energy and renovation of buildings. He partnered and led EU funded projects for renewable energy and energy efficiency in Eastern Europe funded by the European Commission (Intelligent Energy, Concerto), in extensive collaboration with local partners. He further worked on the preparation and feasibility of wind energy and bio energy projects, both in the Netherlands and South-East Europe.
