Mr. Juan Vega (1966) has an eduacational background in Economics, in Finance & Banking and in Business Administration and has over 15 years of professional experience in executive management, strategic planning, product development, financial analysis and risk management in banking and micro financial institutions.

He currently serves as the Regional Director of the PROMIFIN projects in Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador. PROMIFIN has supported to more than 70 IMFs in Central America to improve their financial technology, sustainability and to increase the outreach of financial services to low income populations. One of PROMIFIN’s roles is to create policy dialogue and consensus related to microfinance legal and regulatory reform. PROMIFIN-COSUDE (www.promifin-cosude.org) is a program of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), executed by the consortium of enterprises Triodos Facet and FACETA CENTRAL.
