Biography
Mr. John Guzowski (1961) holds an MBA from St. Bonaventure University (New York State) and has over 22 years experience in training and developing self-sustaining cooperatives and micro finance institutions around the world.
Mr. Guzowski has many years experience in the management of technical assistance projects and has worked for over 12 years in Central and Eastern Europe, specifically as project manager and Regional Coordinator for the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) from 1995-98 (working with credit union movements in 6 CEE countries), Director of Training and Consulting for the Microfinance Centre for Central and Eastern Europe (MFC) from 2002-2004, and as project manager for FACET BV in Poland providing training in microfinance best practices to MFI’s.
Since 2004 Mr. Guzowski is Triodos Facet's Representative for Central & Eastern Europe and the New Independent States (NIS). He lives in Poland.
Mr. Guzowski is a specialized consultant, trainer, and trainer of trainers in microfinance issues, specifically financial management and analysis, internal control and risk management, loan appraisal and delinquency management, product development, governance and strategic and operational planning.
