Mrs. Marjan Duursma (1970) has an educational background in International Policy studies with a specialisation in Development Economics.

Mrs. Duursma gained extensive field experience in microfinance and private sector development in –especially– Africa. Specific expertise includes rural microfinance (especially SACCOs), evaluations, business planning, appraisals, impact assessment, organisational/institutional development and microfinance regulation & supervision. In addition, she has experience in market surveys, building sector associations, fundraising and policy development.

She lives in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and is Triodos Facet's representative in East Africa (Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya) focussing on market development, acquisition, preparing technical and financial proposals and short-term consultancies in East Africa.
